We love making a wide variety of homemade juices. To be honest with you, we rarely purchase bottled juice at the store due to the sugar content and preservatives. We find it super easy to make our own juices at home which only takes a few minutes to do. Here is a great recipe from our friends over at Omega Juicers.
Just my note: When I make their recipe, I like to toss in a few small red cherry tomatoes too.
Cucumber and Kale Juice Recipe
1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
2 apples
6-8 leaves kale
1/2 lemon
1 tbsp ginger
Wash all produce well. Cut produce to fit into the hopper. Juice in an Omega juicer. Pour over Ice or refrigerate until cold (optional). Enjoy!
Health Benefits: Raw kale is one of the best sources of vitamin C, important for protection against immune system deficiency. Each 100 gram serving of raw kale includes about 120 mg of vitamin C, well over the recommended dietary amounts for men (90 mg) and women (75 mg).
