Cocktail Recipe: Love Potion Punch

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and will be here before we know it! For those of you who will be enjoying a romantic dinner for two at home, why not add this delicious Love Potion Punch to your dinner menu? The cocktail recipe was given to us by the great folks over at Three Olives Vodka to share with all of you.

Love Potion Punch Recipe

¾ cup Three Olives Berry Vodka
1 cup fresh blueberries (save some for garnish)
1 cup fresh raspberries(save some for garnish)
1 cup fresh blackberries(save some for garnish)
½ cup honey
½ cup fresh lemon juice
1 bottle rose sparkling wine

Blend the blueberries, raspberries, blackberries honey and lemon juice in a blender until smooth. Drain the mixture into a pitcher. Add the vodka and left over berries for garnish. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate until cold, at least 1 hour. Top of the mixture with the rose sparkling wine right before serving.

Peppermint Martini Cocktail Recipe

I know the holidays are over...but for those of you who love peppermint and a great tasting martini...you have got to try this Peppermint Martini Recipe by the great folks over at HINT. My hubby made a few of these on New Year's Eve and everyone loved them!

Peppermint Martini Cocktail Recipe

2 oz. Peppermint HINT water
1.5 oz. vodka
1 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. seltzer water
1 mint leaf

Combine HINT, vodka, cranberry juice and mint leaf in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Top with seltzer water and garnish with peppermint stick or mint leaf (optional).

Pennsylvania Winters....Suck!

I have been living in Pennsylvania full time since 1984 and let me tell you...even after all of this time, I am still not used to nor am I fond of....the long Pennsylvania winters. Nope, I am not a fan of snow, ice, freezing rain and the bitter cold!

My type of winter weather is the type of weather you find in Southern Florida, Southern California or better yet, Arizona. The cold weather here in PA....does nothing for me, NOTHING!

We had a very mild weather week last week and it was nice having temps in the 50's for most of the week. With that said, old man winter is back this week and hammered us with freezing rain, ice and snow mixed into it. We had a royal mess to deal with late last night and early this morning. ugh!

We are halfway through the month of January and already...I am counting down the days until Spring arrives. I hate being cooped up indoors during the wintertime and right now, I am definitely getting the heebie jeebies to be outside again in the warm weather and sunshine.
